NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement Welcomes Minority Serving Institution Fellows
March 11, 2021
NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement recognizes that participant diversity in our programs is advantageous in every aspect. In 2020, an Intergovernmental Personnel Act opportunity was piloted to recruit and select two minority serving institution (MSI) faculty members for a two-year rotation.
NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement welcomes Dr. Araceli Martinez-Ortiz from Texas State University and Dr. Constance Meadors from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Their combined knowledge and experience will assist us in strengthening underserved and underrepresented involvement throughout NASA STEM programs. Drs. Meadors and Martinez-Ortiz are trailblazers for this anticipated long-term collaboration between MSIs and NASA.
